Scott Bourne’s photography has been nationally recognized more than 50 times in juried competitions, exhibitions and contests. He is widely known for his use of color, shape and form and is a pioneer in the digital imaging field.

His photographic career started in the early 1970s as a stringer covering motor sports for Associated Press in Indianapolis. Since then, he has shot commercial, portrait, wedding, magazine and fine art assignments. His widely divergent patrons and clients include United States Congressman Adam Smith and actor/director Leonard Nimoy.

Scott Bourne regularly lectures on a variety of photo and media-related subjects. He has appeared on national television and radio shows and has written columns for several national magazines.

Scott has conducted classes, workshops, tours and seminars for the Professional Photographers of America, Great American Photography Workshops, The Nature Photographers of The Pacific Northwest, The Northwest Council of Camera Clubs, Photo Expo East/West, The Seattle Professional Photographers Association, The Washington Professional Photographers Association, The Professional Photographers of Washington, The Winona International School of Photography, Photographic Center Northwest, The Pierce County Professional Photographers Association and the Cooperative Communicators Association.

Scott is working on several books with nature photographers Rod Barbee and David Middleton. Scott's newest book 88 Secrets to Wildlife Photography with Rod Barbee was released Spring, 2005.

His international stock sales are managed by his parent company, Scott Bourne Companies. His offices are located in Gig Harbor, WA.
