The temperature in this one should be around 400C to 450C in a hot tub and 100C to 180C for a cold tub. How this works is simply that the patient will alternately sit in each tub for a certain duration of time. It should generally start off in a hot tub for 5 minutes and then continue in the cold tub for 3 minutes. The overall duration for this alternate hip bath should be between 10 to 20 minutes. Keep the head and the neck cold by using a cold compress. As usual, don't forget to end the process with a quick dash of cold water to the hips. This method of hip bath provides relief in most chronic inflammatory conditions.
